Ok, so I've gotten into the Underground Tomb, and worked the Symbolic dials as told by the lyric from the Stone Tomb.

It opened up the bottom-most room and I picked up the artifact, and dumped it into the well.

Is there any other purpose for the Symbolic Dials?

I'm 3/8 of the way of going through all the possible dial positions,
(1536 positions, 3 for the first dial x 8 x 8 x 8 for all the other three
dial positions) and I haven't had anything else happen. (assuming that
like the Stone Tomb lyric, the game will point out that something
has happened after setting the dials in a particular position.

Do I need to click the other 2560 positions, or has anyone already
gone through that and found that there's no other positions needed?

Can the other doors be opened then?

(5/14 update: now through half of the positions, 4x8x8x8=2048, still nothiing)

There are I belive 8 gates in the tomb chambe, and there are 8 codes corresponding to the positions the dials must be in in order to open the respective gates.

The first you figured out from the inscription on the tomb in the lost region.

there are 4 codes that must be formulated, in the same room where the tomb inscription was, you will see 4 gates, each threshold of each gate has a color code, this determines the order, in the same room but down a bit you will see an arrangement of 4 symbol blocks, the block of symbols whos position in the group of 4 matches the position of the set of 4 gates, needs to have that gate's color codes matched to the symbols. so if the first was red, find the block that has red and the symbol on that block is the first symbol to enter into the dials.

when you enter these codes they will open the lower gates and give you the keys to the elemental gates.

the other codes are scattered about, keep your eye open for arrangements of the symbols.
