Trying to divine the rules for getting new spell components.

It's not directly associated with experience milestones, as I'm
maxed out at 100000.
(unless experience milestones are a prerequisite, and part of a composite key to open of new types)

It's not likely to be tied to spirit level, since I'm at 201 with bonuses
and I'm still short 5 pieces.
(unless a composite prerequisite again)

It doesn't seem to be driven by use either.
On my second start, I spammed a 'Fire Burst Fire Burst' spell at Segmendradas and didn't get any further that way.

Maybe a combination of milestone, spirit level, and use?

Maybe wisdom is thrown in there. There is a direct correlation between wisdom and spell damage, like that of strength and melee damage, I just haven't paid enough attention from the start to determine the formula.

If anyone has figured anything further, I'd be interested in more info.

It's milestone, as you drop more items into the mana well it's purification sometimes gifts you with new magic runes.
