Is there any hints in the game for turning the reactor on - after a half an hour I'm frustrated to the point of not wanting to play any more

There is definitely a hint in the game for how to get the reactor on.

Look around the different rooms. If you're still stuck, post here and I'll get more specific

OMG I musta been tired yesterday - Can't believe I posted this cos it's now clicked where I seen it - I need to play a few more Adventure games me thinks
